Looking to do this one at ‘Tattoo Art Showcase’ @ GIANT, Mile 10, Kuching on (28-29th May 2012), only for RM100 if any lucky girl wants this as a tattoo. Hurry, hit me up!
‘Key to my heart’ is a metaphor for exclusive love, a meaningful symbol full of magical and mystical meaning. The lock which can only be opened by one special key has long been a symbol of marital fidelity. A popular tattoo design is of a heart with a keyhole, symbolizing the search for the one true love who has the key to unlock the heart.
It’s been a year and a half since I moved to Kuching and work in this (now lesser) roach infested studio. It’s slowly becoming a proper work place compared to last year (We are forever in construction, y’know..). Yes, the old studio upstairs is now my permanent open nesting place and also my colleague, Baxx, who has his own room. It’s no 5 star hotel but it serves as a place for a hobo artist like me to turn in for the night.
I went to the furniture shop with my missus yesterday and we bought a cloth rack for my bundle of clothes and a thick mattress for me to sleep on. I had been sleeping on 2 ultra thin mattress before this. It wasn’t comfortable but I got to used to it anyway. Sleep on your side for a couple of hours and you’ll wake up with a dead arm and a sore neck. It’s that awesome.
The missus happily agrees with me about making my nesting place a more comfortable place to sleep in. Perhaps some proper decorations will be included in the near future (if income permits), therefore, the cardboard boxes shelter and newspaper blankets have gotta go soon…
I was starting to get fond of them, actually.
Back in Kuching and drawing again. Hardly spent any time sketching other than preparing tattoo designs for clients when I was back in hometown Miri for a month. Miri was awesome, nonetheless. Spent quality times with the familia, had my missus over for a week and celebrated my 32nd birthday with family and close friends and well, parties! Parties are always insane in Miri, lol. Good times!
It’s cool that you have a nice job… but being drunk is not an excuse for you to come up to me and tell me to ‘stop being a dick’ just because I am covered in tattoos and for being a tattoo artist. It’s my job, it’s my passion. My job is not a crime. The income I get from tattooing pays the bills! I travel across continents to do tattoos and I came out on National Television several times! And you dare fucking tell me to stop being a dick???!!!
This video of us and our studio (before it was renovated) was taken around mid last year. A job well done to our friend, Franco from Italy for making this awesome clip for us!
